課程概述

Crowdsourced geographic information近年在地理資訊科學(GISc)的研究引起很大的興趣與迴響，地理公民科學（Geo-Citizen Science）、地理群眾外包（Geo-Crowdsourcing）等類似名詞也相繼出現，其中自發性地理資訊（volunteered geographic information, VGI）已成為GIS的次領域，它甚至顛覆地理學的固有研究方法，成為新地理學（neogeography）典範。
本課程將以VGI為重點，探討其意義、技術、適用性與衝擊的科學辯證。 

課程目標
 瞭解Crowdsourced geographic information與volunteered geographic information的意涵及其運用方法及應用面向 
課程要求
 1. 曾修習GIS概論相關課程
2. 熟悉GIS及社會面應用
3. 論文研究方向為地理資訊科學範疇
4. 願意投入較多時間閱讀、思考與討論
